Temperment /Training Tips
Pugs become loyal companions and are easy to care for. It is an energetic breed with a matching appetite. Exercise during the warmest part of the day is not advisable due to their susceptibility to heat strokes. Can be a bit headstrong or stubborn at times.
Grooming Requirements
Their short coat requires daily brushing for proper maintenance. Bathing every 8 weeks or longer should suffice.
Breed History
It is believed that Dutch traders brought these dogs back to Holland from China. They were adored by the Royalties in short span of time and became the symbol of some of the elite societies. They were adopted as the official house dog of King William of England.
